Bio | Lee Palencar, MSA

Lee Palencar is a retreat director, author, educator, and artist. She earned a BA with double majors in art and history from Grand Valley State University, Grand Rapids, Michigan and holds a Master of Arts in Sacred Art from Pontifex University since 2022. 

With more near 20 years experience as a retreat and program director, she brings to light sacred art as well as other forms of spiritual expression including writing, journaling, and prayer.

A published author with Twenty-Third Publications, Inc., since 2005, Lee enjoys writing Catholic educational and craft books for religion teachers, catechists, and home school parents.

Recently retired art teacher with 23 years experience in public and private schools, she keeps busy directing retreats and workshops, conducting art museum tours, and teaching sacred art-making workshops. Having time to create sacred art through painting and artisan crafts is a personal joy.

She and artist and illustrator John Jude Palencar have been happily married sine 1987  and have great joy in two adult sons, Ian and Kit and their daughter-in-law, Kelly.

Lee and John reside in Medina, Ohio.
