SACRED SEEING RETREATS
I write and present Retreats to pray and reflect with sacred art.
Lectio Divina means Divine Reading. The practice involves reading scripture and then meditating on it and contemplating with it. Visio Divina is Divine Seeing and relates to religious or sacred art - art that moves you to see beyond the image to experience the presence of God.
The Retreats always include both Lectio Divina and Visio Divina Sessions as sacred art is the illustration of the Word and the two shine light on each other in beautiful ways, promoting relationship with the Trinity.
Full-day retreats may include a Session of Art Appreciation introducing retreatants to how to "read" a work of art through description and interpretation.
Lectures, prayer, discussion, reflection, journaling, and contemplation round out the Retreat.
